Vaccine Schedule

Today, most children in the United States lead much healthier lives and parents live with much less anxiety and worry over infections during childhood. Immunizations are one of the success stories of modern medicine.

Birth - 6 Years Old
Children 7 - 18 Years Old

Covid-19 Vaccine

We recommend that all patients 6 months and older get vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19. We are offering vaccines on different days based on patient age.

  • 6 months to 5 years: Wednesdays (Moderna primary series; boosters also available for kids 6 months to 5 years who received Moderna as a primary series; there is no booster recommendation for children in this age range who received Pfizer vaccine)
  • 5 years to 6 years: Wednesdays (Moderna booster regardless of which primary series your child received)
  • 6-11 year olds: Tuesdays, Thursdays (Moderna bivalent booster) 
  • 12 years and older: Mondays, Fridays (Pfizer bivalent booster)

Well Visit Schedule

Routine check-ups are recommended throughout infancy, childhood, and adolescence to evaluate general health, growth and development, and to receive immunizations.

We recommend check-ups at the following ages:

  • Newborn (2 days after discharge)
  • 2-4 week
  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 2 years
  • 2.5 years
  • 3 years
  • Once a year around your child’s birthday beginning at 3 years

If there are concerns, especially during the first few months, your doctor may recommend that your child be seen more frequently. Appointments for routine “well child” exams should be made four to eight weeks in advance. Newborn exams should be scheduled at the beginning of office hours to avoid a crowded waiting room caused by backup delays. Yearly physicals should be scheduled during the month of your child’s birthday to avoid school and camp time rushes in May, June, August, and September.

Follow-up examinations: Follow-up appointments for illness visits should be made at the time of the initial exam.

Sick visits: Children requiring attention on a given day will be seen on that same day. If your child is ill and needs to be examined, please call between 8:30 and 9:00 am on weekdays to schedule an appointment. If your physician is unavailable at any time, another doctor will be able to examine your child.
