Psychiatry

Welcome to Uptown Pediatrics’ Psychiatry Services

Thank you for choosing Uptown Pediatrics. As pediatricians, we know that mental health is just as important as physical health, and we are honored to be part of this journey with you. Supporting emotional well-being is a vital part of helping children, teens, and families thrive, and we are here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Our psychiatrist, Dr. Divya Hoon, provides psychiatric evaluations for diagnosis and medication management. She is also available to support new mothers experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety, offering care that is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each family’s needs. To schedule an intake, please call our front desk or, if you are already a patient, send us a message through the patient portal.

For children, the intake process includes at least two one-hour visits. For adults, the intake process includes at least one one-hour visit. During the initial evaluation, we will review medical, developmental, and mental health history, discuss past and current experiences with care, and create a treatment plan that best supports your goals. All intakes will be conducted in person with options for telehealth available thereafter. Please note that Dr. Hoon is licensed in the state of New York so she is unable to provide virtual follow up appointments for  patients who are out of state.

At this time, we are not able to provide therapy services or neuropsychological testing. If those are part of your needs, we are happy to connect you with trusted providers in the community. If, at the end of an intake, we feel your concerns would be better addressed elsewhere, we will help guide you to the right resources.

Dr. Hoon practices a collaborative model of care and is always happy to work closely with your child’s therapist, pediatrician, and other members of the care team to ensure treatment is comprehensive and well-coordinated.

Before your first appointment, please review  the information below. You may bring these items with you or upload them through the patient portal. If you plan to complete forms in the office, please arrive 30 minutes early.

We look forward to getting to know your family better, and to supporting you and your children as they grow.
